You don't have to have long hair to love this one (but it helps).
How lucky are we? Very lucky.
Not only do we have the world's coolest clients, occasionally they throw us a project that absolutely rocks. (Sorry, pun shamefully intended.)
Nikon has long been the camera of rock. Many celebrated photographers like Richard Aaron (Frampton Comes Alive album cover) and Lynn Goldsmith (Sting and Bruce Springsteen covers for Rolling Stone) shoot exclusively with Nikon cameras. So last year Nikon developed Nikon Live, a site dedicated to rock photography and rock photographers. Live Nation provided Nikon with exclusive photo access at venues across the country. ATO Records shared artist profiles and MP3s. American Photo helped create Visions of Rock, an on- and offline feature profiling prominent rock photographers. The site was a big success, which was a lucky break for us. With a clearly engaged audience, a roster of stellar content partners and strong internal support, Nikon was happy to invest in a redesign for 2008. The team came to us with one basic request for the redesign: make everything cooler. Luckily, we do cool pretty well. |
